While I have been known to be highly skeptical about the use of voice systems based upon the voice-over-Internet Protocol (VoIP), I am open to possibilities like most cost-conscious IT managers at securities firms.

In the April issue of Waters magazine out now, the current conundrum of VoIP was captured in a nutshell as part of a report on recent breakfast briefings on the subject, held in London and NewYork. According to a speaker at the briefing, Mike Ritchken, a senior vice president with MTM
