Thomson Financial Services Institutional Shareholder Services Division agreed to buy Proxy Voter Services, a Chicago-based firm that services the investment management and Taft-Hartley pension fund market. ISS expects the transaction to close before the end of the year. The terms of the purchase were not disclosed.
PVS will operate as a separate unit of ISS, and PVS' chief operating officer Mark Saussy will remain with the firm. Herbert Skinner, PVS' owner and president, will remain with the firm
