Major Reuters Reorganization--Again

LONDON--Reuters Trading Systems, renamed Reuters Trading Solutions and reorganized again, is still the weakest link in Reuters’ chain, reporting a drop in revenues of about six per cent in 1999 compared with 1998.

RTS revenues dropped to £780 million in 1999 from £827 million the previous year. The company blamed Y2K code freezes and "the continued consolidation in the financial industry [which] depressed the foreign exchange transaction business" for the decline in revenues.
