SocGen To Use Mint To Simplify Messaging For 40 Back Office Applications

NEW YORK--The New York branch of Societe Generale began deploying two weeks ago software from Mint Communications Systems to simplify the message brokering for as many as 40 back office applications, says Howard Ertel, chief information officer (CIO) for Societe Generale.

The bank decided upon Mint after a vendor review process that included "a list of 50 or so," says Ertel. "The short list came down to Mint, New Era of Networks (Neon) and Talarian Systems."

Ertel and his staff discovered that
