Fruits Of BT/Nomura Distribution Pact Drop Slowly--as Bigger Plums Dangle

A distribution agreement inked late last year between British Telecom's Syntegra systems integration arm and Nomura Research Institute has slowly begun to yield new customers for BT's Open Trading System (OTS) digital dealing room platform in Japan. That deal gave NRI the right to market OTS in Japan. Along with Nomura Securities, which installed OTS on some of its bond dealers' desks in Tokyo, one other financial institution in Japan has responded to NRI's efforts to sell the product thus far.
