3000 Xtra Runs NT-Only Kobra Version Due To Drop In Demand For Kobra On Unix

LONDON--Reuters has no plans to make its 3000 Xtra real-time and historical market data service available for the Unix variant of its Kobra data display application. Launched last week, the 3000 Xtra service will be available for Microsoft Windows NT desktops.
The lack of Xtra support for the Unix version of Kobra appears to be a step back from the cross-platform support that Reuters originally touted as a hallmark of Kobra, say industry observers.
