NEW YORK--Ixnet, the virtual private network operator, intends to provide publish/subscribe messaging facilities on its global VPN as part of a plan to offer a set of transaction-oriented functions.
Sources say that it has purchased the intellectual property rights and source code of Ambrosia, a Java-based messaging middleware product that was developed by Open Horizon of South San Francisco, California.
