The Chicago Board of Trade will spend $1 million to expand its computerized trade reconstruction system known as CTR Plus. The enhancements to CTR Plus will improve detection of abuses such as brokers trading ahead of customers, brokers taking the other side of customer orders, non-competitive trading and wash trades. The $1 million expenditure was approved by the CBOT board before the Commodity Futures Trading Commission issued a report last week criticizing the CBOT's surveillance capability
