Instinet Readies Fixed-Income System With Beta Testing Set For The Summer

TRANSACTION SYSTEMS

NEW YORK--A long-awaited, electronic transaction system for fixed-income trading from Reuters Instinet will be aimed squarely at the sellside--a departure from Instinet's equities efforts--and will be beta tested this summer, say sources.

The technology partners involved are being announced at the Securities Industry Association (SIA) exhibition and conference underway in New York this week.

The system, built from scratch, is to provide bond traders with the anonymity, neutrality and transparency
