Cracks In S.W.I.F.T. Coalition Appear At Hong Kong SIBOS

Every year, S.W.I.F.T. (the Society for Worldwide Interbank Financial Telecommunications) uses the occasion of its international banking operations seminar (SIBOS) to lobby for development of new and expanded services. But this year's pitch was tempered by S.W.I.F.T.'s embarrassment over recent SWIFT II network outages and by increasing friction between S.W.I.F.T. and its largest and most ambitious member banks.
