Now that certain citizens of Sleepy Hollow, also known as members of the Bancroft family, have finally bestirred themselves, things can never be the same at Dow Jones. Or, for that matter, at Telerate. Nor should they be--as Wall Streeters and Dow Jones stockholders other than most of the Bancroft heirs are now busily pointing out.

All kinds of things are likely to happen--and sooner rather than later. The question is whether the initiatives will come from the company side--which we can assume
