Reuters Looks to India to Reduce Costs

Reuters could set a precedent for the industry by shifting some of its data processing and product development jobs to India.

Reuters plans to build a new content production facility in either Bangalore or Hyderabad. The shift will likely result in job cuts in the UK, US, Singapore and other centers.

Financial information providers are keeping an eye on Reuters to see whether the move is successful.
