With a new trading floor in the MetLife Building, Barclays Capital has set forth its definition of state-of-the-art.

When Barclays Capital moved into the MetLife building overlooking Grand Central Terminal in midtown last fall, the people behind the move envisioned a state-of-the-art trading floor with room to grow and new technologies to test and deploy later on down the road. Like an artist staring at a blank canvas, some saw the midtown trading floor as a masterpiece waiting to take shape.
