When Antoine Shagoury came to consult at the American Stock Exchange (Amex) little did he know that within six months he would be responsible for all of the stock exchange's technology infrastructure and operations. Last August, Amex brought him on board to help develop the exchange's new hybrid trading model and by February, he was named executive vice president and CIO of the exchange.
