From call centers to datacenters, the financial services industry is no stranger to outsourcing. Now, Credit Suisse has outsourced network functions to BT in a move observers say exemplifies an emerging trend: Banks are putting critical voice and data services in the hands of major telecommunications companies and networking manufacturers.
Credit Suisse set up the five-year outsourcing deal, with an estimated total order value of £578 million ($1.1 billion), so the firm could focus on its core
