It's hard to believe that Kurt D. Woetzel has time to innovate. The senior executive vice president and CIO of The Bank of New York (BNY) is in charge of the technology that serves the bank across the globe, and oversees a global technology team of 4,000 people. He and his staffers maintain systems that each day clear and settle amounts exceeding Canada's gross domestic product. He divides his time among the bank's buildings in lower Manhattan and manages the Office of Innovation.
