The California Public Employees Retirement System, CalPERS, named the manager of its overhaul of its corporate database Barbara Hegdal as the assistant executive officer for its member and benefit services branch. Hegdal has been with CalPERS, which has $126 billion in assets under management, since 1981. She's replacing Sandra Lund, who retired over the summer.
