Storagenetworks, Inc., based in Waltham, Mass., has hired Mike Tardif, former chief information officer (CIO) of Goldman Sachs, as senior vice president of technology and engineering with responsibility for thee design, rollout and technical support for the company's flagship product, the Global Data Storage Network. GDSN is the network that links Storagenetwork's Storage Points-of-Presence (S-POP) 13 data centers in major financial centers. Tardif says that there are 13 of these data centers
