Tokyo To Automate Order-Routing, Order Book For Top 150 Stocks

In a move with enormous implications for intra-day traders at member firms, the Tokyo Stock Exchange will pilot an electronic order-routing system and an electronic display book for saitori in the top 150 TSE stocks. The pilot, known as FAST (Floor Automation for Stock Trading) should greatly facilitate delivery and execution of buy and sell orders associated with high-speed, high-volume quantitative trading.

The FAST experiment is due to start Nov. 26, according to "Mack" Imakiire, assistant
