Telerate Goes Direct In Malaysia; Bernama Keeps Cut, Loses Sales Role

Dow Jones Telerate has restructured its presence in Malaysia, setting up an operation to sell and support its services there directly. To do so, Telerate has relocated Garry Cowling to Kuala Lumpur as business manager. The vendor has also revised its agreement with Bernama, the Malaysian National News Agency, with which all foreign information companies must partner--in one form or another--in order to do business in Malaysia.
