Virtualization got another major endorsement last week when Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein (DrKW) gave its blessing to the software of London-based vendor Propero. While details are sketchy, DrKW officials acknowledge that the Propero deployment will affect 7,000 end users at the firm, and will begin in New York, where Propero also has an office.

JPMorgan is also dabbling in virtualization (DWT, Sept. 26, and Waters magazine for November) while Merrill Lynch has seen the virtues of virtualization
