Screen-Based Trading Gets A Lot Of Attention Down Under

The New Zealand Futures Exchange has plans to update the International Commodity Clearing House ATS/2 software it uses for electronic trading, clearing and back-office functions. Sources say the upgrade may become ATS/3, and involves an expert system application. The NZFE was the first exchange to install ATS.

ICCH and the NZFE haven't signed a contract yet for the update, but negotiations are under way and are expected to be completed shortly, according to an ICCH spokeswoman.
