The Year In FIX: Lots of Activity, But No New Versions

FIX MESSAGES

Despite the expanding number of users, no new versions of the FIX protocol were rolled out in 1999. While the Year 2000 was blamed by some observers for the situation, there has been concern in the industry that all the proposed changes that were being made by the FIX Committee might make the next release, due in April 2000, unmanageable in its complexity.
