Bloomberg Aims For New Contributors, New System Takes Rates From Triarch

As part of a campaign to woo new data contributors in Asia Pacific and in Europe, Bloomberg is deploying an IBM RS/6000 client-site server that takes rates automatically from customer systems. The contribution device, known as Datadriver, allows Bloomberg for the first time to take data directly from platforms such as Reuters' Triarch and Dow Jones Telerate's Telerate Trading Room System (TTRS). It does so by reading the same protocol that contributors now use to deliver their prices to Reuters'
