Applix Revs Report Out, After Busy Year For IPOs

The year-end financial statement of Applix Inc.--a real-time spreadsheet vendor that went public at the beginning of last year--showed strong growth in both revenues and profits. Annual revenues increased by 75 percent, to $32.4 million from $18.5 million for 1994. Fourth quarter revenue was stronger still, rising by some 86 percent, according to the vendor's report--to $10.4 million from $5.6 million in 4Q94.
