Strike To Get New Financing, Brut To Get Strike In Merger Bid

NEW YORK--In a long expected move that originates near the bottom of the Electronic Communications Network (ECN) pecking order, Strike Technologies has agreed in principle to merge with Brass Utility's Brut ECN, after Brass made the first approach with an offer to join forces. While both ECNs said nothing had been finalized, industry sources believe that the deal will be made. If it goes forward, the march toward wholesale consolidations among ECNs may have begun.
