In Oz, AAP, Knight-Ridder's Equinet Lose Big Ones To Reuters, Rtrs' Infocast

With two months to go before Reuters and AAP officially end their distribution agreement and compete directly in Australia, there is already plenty of moving, shaking and discount-taking among customers of quotation services down under. Two of the top equity quote system vendors there--AAP Information Services and Knight-Ridder's Equinet--have each lost a major customer to Reuters or Reuters-owned Infocast in recent weeks. The two defectors are Ord Minnett Group and Macquarie Bank.
