Reuters: Optimism After First Quarter Revenues

EARNINGS REPORT

LONDON--Reuters chief executive Peter Job says that the outlook for Reuters is good, partly because of the fact that competition is dwindling while Reuters’ products gain in strength and reputation.

Job says that there are three reasons for optimism. First, Reuters products such as the Dealing 3000 FX transaction system and its 3000 market data product line are now strong and well-established.

Second, competition is weaker; Bridge, of course, is in bankruptcy court. In addition, if Reuters
