LOS ALTOS,CA.--Talarian and Sound Financial Technologies (SFT) have combined their products to compete with Tibco Software and others in supplying real-time market data distribution systems.
Talarian, based in Los Altos, Calif., and SFT, based in Stamford, Conn., contend that the product will combine Talarian’s Smartsockets publish-subscribe software with SFT’s SoftCache, a framework for data persistence, ie. the capturing of most recent information such as the value of a portfolio or security
