After the demise of Bridge Information Systems last year, one question on everyone’s lips was, "Who will ascend to become the third major market data vendor?" It was generally agreed that users would demand a viable alternative to Reuters and Bloomberg, but it wasn’t clear which company that would be (despite the marketing material from various candidates).

With the release of the 2001 Market Data Industry report (IMD’s fellow Risk Waters Group publication), we have the answer:ILX.
