The New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX) has begun to look into the costs and benefits of building its own ticker plant and broadcasting its data independently of its fellow Commodity Exchange Center Inc. (CEC) members' data. NYMEX this year pulled out of a CEC project to build new headquarters in New York.
