Thomson Reuters currently supplies news to the vendor under the terms of a contract originally struck between Ionic and financial newswire AFX, which was acquired by Thomson Financial and later merged with Reuters News (IMD, June 19, 2006; June 23, 2008).
The Dow Jones content includes detailed UK market news, with a "global overview to understand all the factors underlying market sentiment," which meets the needs of Ionic's clients-mostly UK stockbrokers primarily focused on the domestic market
