Ion Acquires Anvil
Ion Trading acquired Anvil Software for an undisclosed sum late last week, officials from both companies report. Ion is a software provider for trading on electronic fixed-income markets and Anvil develops software for repo trading and securities lending. The deal will allow Ion Trading to extend its product coverage into Anvil's markets. Joe Nicholson, managing director of Anvil Software, will remain the director of the Anvil division at Ion and will join the Ion management
