EPA Ranks Fortune 500 for Green Power Use

San Francisco-based Wells Fargo ranked third among all the companies in the Fortune 500, with 42 percent of its electricity use coming from green power sources. The bank uses 550,000,000 kilowatt hours of wind-generated power annually.

Global banking giant Citi placed 19th, using 56,398,000 kilowatt hours of wind power each year. Given the size of the global financial firm, this represents just 4 percent of its US power consumption.

Boston-based State Street tied in 23rd place with clothing
