Alexandra Foster and Jerry Hubbard collected the award for BT.

Distributed to more than 15,000 member locations, BT Radianz Cloud enjoys an unrivaled network of sell-side and buy-side firms and service providers, accessible to anyone through a single point of access. Since June of 2011 alone, ING Bank, Singapore Exchange, Tradition, Qatar Exchange, Patsystems, Uralsib, Aphelion, Lockpath, Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing, and others, have signed on. Major buy-side technology vendors like Charles River Development and Fidessa are among the family of more than 400 providers on the network, delivering thousands of applications to the investment management industry. Buy-side clients can link to brokers, custodians, exchanges, central securities depositories, and plenty of other entities.

Firms can begin delivering and receiving services within days of linking to the cloud, which can be accessed in over 170 countries, and, according to BT, its managed encryption services are on par with tier-one banks.

BT services available across the BT Radianz Cloud include BT Radianz Venue Interconnect for low-latency links to interconnect BT and third-party hosting centers in key financial markets; BT Radianz Hosting, including proximity hosting, co-location and managed hosting services; and BT Unified Trading, with tools and services for voice trading. BT Radianz Venue, a suite of services released in April to address fragmentation challenges, offers a tenfold extension of BT's ability to host data at non-BT datacenters, including 10 belonging to Equinix, and provides the lowest-latency connection times between trading venues.

Robin Farnan, managing director of BT Radianz Services and BT Unified Trading, says the vendor is still importing services from the wider BT portfolio. BT Radianz Venue and BT Unified Trading are still in the early stages and will continue to be rolled out.
