Developed in conjunction with New York broker-dealer Bids Trading, BPool will provide access both to Bloomberg's equities trading platform and Bids Trading's alternative trading system (ATS).

Bids Trading's ATS will also act as the order matching engine for the initiative.

"BPool provides access to what the US equity markets have been looking for—a centralized, active and diverse marketplace," says Daniel Doctoroff, president and CEO of Bloomberg. "Our clients now have a more efficient way to implement trading strategies and achieve better execution results."
