Spread Networks Builds Low-Latency NJ Route

Low-latency fiber network provider Spread Networks has created an ultra-low-latency route connecting the termination points of its New York-Chicago network in Carteret, NJ, to Equinix’s NY4 datacenter in Secaucus, NJ, to provide faster connectivity between local cash markets and to provide connectivity between the Equinix facility and Chicago over Spread’s low-latency network.

Spread launched last summer, and claims to have created the fastest direct route between New Jersey and Chicago—13.33
