In advance of rolling out its first digital data distribution platform ever, Yamaichi International America, the New York-based subsidiary of Yamaichi Securities, has upgraded the LAN supporting its 100-position trading room at 2 World Trade Center to an Ethernet/Fast Ethernet configuration. The new TCP/IP LAN incorporates a fiber optic-based backbone, with switches, routers and hubs from 3Com, and category five cable running to the desktop. Capable of delivering 100 megabits of data per second
