Departure Of BIS's DR-One Raises Questions For IBM

BIS Trading Systems Inc. is withdrawing from the North American market following slow sales of its DR-one trading- room platform, according to unconfirmed reports late last week. The move could raise questions about support for existing DR-one installations, and leaves IBM without a low- end North American trading-room offering.

BIS Trading Systems, part of BIS Banking Systems Inc., itself a NYNEX Corp. subsidiary, is moving out of its New York offices, according to sources. Details are sketchy
