WORKSTATIONS AND ANALYTICS
Chicago-based futures commission merchant Rand Financial Inc. is on the verge of completing a deal to buy Sungard Capital Markets Inc.'s Devon Futures System for real-time, multicurrency processing of exchange-traded futures and options and related over-the-counter products.
A wholly-owned subsidiary of Bermuda-based hedge fund Trout Trading Fund Ltd., Rand will deploy the new futures trading system as part of a firmwide move to client/server architecture-based technology. At Rand, the Devon
