CBOT, CME, Reuters Announce Tentative Globex Agreement

Reuters Holdings PLC, the Chicago Mercantile Exchange and the Chicago Board of Trade announced that they had reached agreement on a letter of intent regarding the Globex electronic futures-trading system, resolving all substantive issues toward the completion of a 20-year contract. The announcement appeared to be aimed at further reassuring prospective participants and Reuters shareholders that the long-delayed system will debut this year.
