Soc Gen Picks Slew O' Systems For Consolidated Trading Room

Societe Generale will consolidate its New York trading operations over the Fourth of July weekend, moving 218 traders from the second and 14th floors of 50 Rockefeller Center to the sixth floor of 1221 Avenue of the Americas. The population to be moved consists of 128 of the French bank's New York branch traders and 90 of its Societe Generale Securities Corp. traders. The two groups will be separated by a partition, with the bank traders dealing in derivatives, fixed-income and foreign exchange
