e-CBOT Users Facing Upgrade Woes

CHICAGO--Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT) customers will face a steep upgrade path to the new e-CBOT platform, built on the Liffe Connect technology from Euronext.liffe.

The new platform will replace the a/c/e system from rival exchange Eurex on Jan. 2, 2004, and the transition will force users to adopt a new interface, network connectivity, and hardware. Eurex will make a major assault on CBOT's market next year (TTW, Jan. 13).
