Sakura Bank Taps H-P Japan, ISI-Dentsu To Build Oracle-, H-P-, VAR-Based Risk System

Sakura Bank has contracted with Hewlett-Packard Japan (H-P) and systems integrator and consultancy ISI-Dentsu, to jointly develop and implement a global VAR-based risk management system. Sakura is investing over $30 million in the project, which will provide the bank enhanced internal risk controls and enable it to meet tentatively scheduled Bank of Japan (BoJ) and Bank for International Settlements (BIS) deadlines for implementing such systems.
