Sun Pleads Case at SIA Show

NEW YORK—Sun Microsystems officials are working hard to prove that they are still a powerful force on Wall Street and that was in evidence at the SIA 2005 Technology Management Conference in New York last week.

This past autumn, Sun began a charm offensive to shore up its Wall Street base and used last week's SIA event to show its progress. The hardware vendor has completed 44 proof-of-concept trials with its flagship operating system, Solaris 10, and the global tests involved financial services
