CME Eagle Launch Suffers Stoppages

CHICAGO--The launch of the Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME)’s EAGLE (Electronic Arbitrage Globex Liquidity Enhancer) was interrupted Monday, Jan. 27. Users had difficulty entering orders and the system was taken down from 7:15 am to 1:30 pm Central Time, exchange officials say. On Tuesday, Jan. 28, the system was disabled from 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. CT for further testing, and was back to normal shortly thereafter. No trade breaks occurred.
