CBOT Launches E-RFQ Options Service

EXCHANGE TECHNOLOGIES

CHICAGO--The Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT) last Monday launched the e-cbot electronic request for quote (E-RFQ) service, which allows market participants to request and receive bids and offers for options on CBOT swap futures on the e-cbot trading system, officials say.

The solution is a white-labeling of the eRFQ system from Chicago vendor Liquidity Direct.

Most buy-side users will access e-RFQ via the Web, while market makers will use a dedicated server running the MISS protocol from Eurex
