Virt-x to Launch TNS, FIX Service In Volume Bid

LONDON--Electronic exchange Virt-x is planning to reduce the cost of connecting to its European equities market by introducing FIX connectivity, eliminating dealers’ need for client servers.

The London-based exchange will launch two new initiatives this year to offer cheaper and easier access to new and existing members. The first one is to introduce Microsoft Windows 2000-based servers for hosting client front-ends. This initiative, called TNS (Trading New System), is to be launched in July
