Nasdaq Pulls Out Of Japan

TOKYO--The Nasdaq stock market has announced it is to pull out of its venture with the Osaka Stock Exchange to create a Japanese exchange linked to its other Nasdaq markets in the US and Europe. Instead, Nasdaq will terminate its agreement with the OSE, and pull out of the Japanese market completely.

As TTW went to press, Nasdaq issued a statement announcing its intention to wind down Nasdaq Japan, effectively ceasing operations. Since the publication of its second quarter results two weeks ago
