RMDS Coming to Sun’s Linux Servers
OPEN SOURCE TRADING SYSTEMS
NEW YORK--Sun Microsystems and Reuters will work together to provide support for the Reuters Market Data System (RMDS) running on the Linux-Intel platforms of Sun.
The announcement last week put to rest rumblings from both camps that such an accord was imminent.
Reuters won’t have to change a line of RMDS code to enable it to run in the Intel-Linux environments from Sun Microsystems, says Casey Merkey, product marketing manager, front office solutions for Reuters.
